Three strains of the Aspergillus versicolor complex were isolated from a salty marsh at a former uranium mining site in Thuringia, Germany. These data will allow to study the genes and gene clusters responsible for the expression of virulence factors, the biosynthesis of mycotoxins and the proliferation of these ubiquitous and recurrent molds. The genomes of these three species could be assembled with a percentage of completeness of 97.02%, 96.21% and 95.35% for Aspergillus creber, A. #Sequencher license cornell series#Of three species of the series Versicolores: Aspergillus creber, Aspergillus jensenii and Aspergillus protuberus which are the most abundant species of this series in bioaerosols. Here, we provide for the first time the genome Molds belonging to the Versicolores series also produce sterigmatocystin, a mycotoxin classified as potential human carcinogen by the International Agency for Research on Cancer (group 2B). Indeed, they are responsible forĪllergies, aggravation of asthma and can even cause infections in immunocompromised patients. These species cause damage to the quality of air. The Aspergilli of the section Nidulantes series Versicolores are among the most recurrent molds in indoor environments. Cell survival assays after 72 h of exposure to the fungal extracts showed that Aspergillus puulaauensis extract was the most cytotoxic (IC50 < 25μg/mL), while Aspergillus fructus caused no significant decrease in cell survival. The same tests performed with mixtures of 10 5 spores/mL showed a potentiation of the cytotoxic effect, with a significant decrease in cell survival for mixtures containing spores of two species (on A549 cells, p = 0.05 and HaCaT cells, p = 0.001) or three different species (on HaCaT cells, p = 0.05). Measurements of cell survival of A549 and HaCaT cell lines showed that only the spore suspension containing 10 5 spores/mL of Aspergillus jensenii caused a significant decrease in survival after 72 h of exposure. The DTT tests showed that all species of the series Versicolores had an oxidative potential, either by their spores (especially for Aspergillus jensenii) or by the extracts (especially from Aspergillus amoenus). Spore suspensions and ethyl acetate extracts prepared from fungal isolates were subjected to oxidative potential measurement using the dithiothreitol (DTT) test and cell survival measurement. In order to investigate their toxicity, we studied 22 isolates of clinical and environmental origin, corresponding to seven different species of the series Versicolores. Aspergillus species in the series Versicolores remain little known despite recurrence in bioaerosols. Among these molds, the genus Aspergillus is found in the majority of indoor air samples, and includes several species with patho-genic and toxigenic properties. Molds are ubiquitous biological pollutants in bioaerosols.

If the extractor is too loose, or if it seems worn, it could need either tightening or replacing. You may also want to replace your recoil spring if it's getting worn out. Lighter loads require lighter springs, hotter loads require a stiffer spring. However, if the problem repeats itself, then you may have a mechanical issue.įirst, make sure that you're using an appropriate recoil spring weight for your ammunition. If the problem doesn't repeat itself, it's possible that it was a bad round which does happen. Tightening the grip and ensuring you aren't short-stroking the slide with the thumb or anything else will rule out these causes in short order. At that point, you must diagnose what the cause of the stovepipe was. When a stovepipe happens, you pull back the slide to get the round free. This holds it up in the ejection port and causes a stovepipe. If the extractor is worn down, or if it does not have sufficient tension, the round will not be pulled from the chamber and ejected with sufficient force. The extractor is also a cause of stovepipes. Riding the thumb too high on the slide will also interfere with the pistol cycling and lead to a stovepipe. Limp-wristing can also cause a stovepipe, as not holding the pistol firmly enough can cause the slide to not cycle correctly, leading to a shorter return stroke and a stovepipe. If ammunition is the cause, either use a more appropriate load or cease using faulty rounds. If you're using a recoil spring with too much tension for the ammunition you're using, the slide will cycle faster than the spent case is sent out the ejection port. This could be due to switching to lower-pressure rounds, a bad batch of factory ammunition or a poor handload.Īnother common cause is the recoil spring. Diagnosing And Fixing A Stovepipeįirst, if the ammunition you're using has too weak a powder charge, it won't cycle the slide correctly. In the latter instance, the round just didn't get pulled out of the chamber after firing.Įach has their own causes and fixes. It looks like a stove pipe is sticking out of the chamber and thus you get the name. In the former instance, the round will get stuck between the slide and the barrel throat while ejecting, due to the slide cycling too fast or too slow an ejection. The revolver crowd doesn't deal with it as much, though an ejector can certainly get break. Just like a failure to feed, this is an issue that pretty much only affects semi-autos. In the latter case, a round is fired but isn't extracted out of the chamber. There is a stovepipe, where a spent case gets caught in the ejection port, and a failure to extract. There are two basic types of failure to extract. That said, let's find out a bit more about failures to eject. The good news is that the cause is usually rather minor and can be addressed in a matter of minutes. Just like a failure to feed, the cause can be diagnosed and addressed. A failure to eject, otherwise known as a FTE, can take a few different forms and has several common causes. There are a few common firearm malfunctions, one of the chief among them is a failure to eject, where a spent case is not ejected from the pistol and keeps the slide from cycling. STOVE PIPE GUN JAM HOW TOThis is my 2nd one that I eventually end up having reasons to really not like it.Why You Had A Failure To Eject And How To Fix It But yeah, when you start getting stovepipes. (albeit that's obviously subjective)Įither way, it's annoying. This is my 2nd one that I eventually end up having reasons to really not like it. I was practicing harries technique.Įither way, it's annoying. Then of course for me, shooting it one handed I might have not had as secure of a grip as I "should" have been. You would think that would be more of a feeding thing, but if the spring tension has some affect on ejection, then probably the position of the mag might too. And also gripping the gun may possibly have an effect on how it eject because the mag can move around a bit from gripping it. Which does 2 things, makes the spring in the mag weaker and seems to play a part in how well my Glock ejects. I know hotter ammo shows less weak ejection (carry ammo). I think it's like a tolerance stacking thing. But I don't recall ever getting another stovepipe with another type of gun. I was shooting 1 handed last time I shot it and got a stovepipe. My G26 has weak ejection on that last round of pretty much every mag. |
